Toxic Soaps Are Everywhere

Soaps sure kill a lot more than just germs haha! Lets tame those bad boys with some nontoxic options.

Here's the scoop.

Anyone who's done dishes at work or even home knows that their hands pay the price after doing many dishes with Dawn and all the other name brand soaps.

The list of ingredients in the original, blue Dawn dish soap speaks for itself:

Water; Sodium Lauryl Sulfate; Sodium Laureth Sulfate; C10-16 Alkyldime-Thylamine Oxide; Alcohol Denat.; Ppg-26; Sodium Chloride; Sodium Hydroxide; Pei-14 Peg-24/Ppg-16 Copolymer; Phenoxyethanol; Fragrances; Methylisothiazo-Linone; Colorants Blue 1, Yellow 5, Red 33; C9-11 Pareth-8; Styrene/Acrylates Copolymer; Tetrasodium Glutamate Diacetate; Chloroxylenol; Phenoxy-Isopropanol; Glycerin; Sodium Cumene-Sulfonate; Propylene Glycol; Terpineol. (The only thing thats natural is Water and even that has fluoride and all sorts of chemicals in it!)

Hand Sanitizer & Hand Washing

So thats exactly why. None of that is good for you, similar to Germ-X. Oh I'm sure it does "kill 99% of bacteria" (define bacteria )but nobody ever asks what the cost of that is on your skin or what else it's "killing". *head shake. Look at the ingredients in this crap and then think about how many people used it a few years ago to "prevent sickness" its so stupidly frustrating. This would have absolutely attributed to illness, bringing your shields down as I like to say. I'm about to rip this apart. This is complete poison!

Germ-x Label

Look at this label and wake up:

  • It's mostly alcohol - Not the best option. Not convinced it's even ok.
  • "Recommended for repeated use?" So it doesn't even freakin work well?
  • Its FLAMABLE and that's going in your body.
  • Contact Poison Control if swallowed! None of the soap my kids use would be an emergency if they swallowed it. Remember it's absorbed in your skin...
  • It discolors fabric and tarnishes wood?! (Great. Yeah lets get that get in our blood.)
  • The "Inactive Ingredients" are most certainly active in your body!
  • The water is unfiltered so it has chemicals in it.
  • Fragrance is jacking up everyones hormones which causes infertility.
  • Glycerin does sound needed at all
  • Acete removes toxic pain off fingernails

The point is none of this comes close to helping you be clean. It goes right in your blood through the pores of your skin. It says don't swallow it, but it's still absorbed through your skin. Then they say to use it repeatedly as if it's not even working very well - because its NOT. You don't need it, but here is a better option.

Good Hand Sanitizer

An example of a good hand sanitizer is the Immunity Spray by Rowe Casa available locally at the Wellnest Shop.

The ingredients are are natural, its actually work and plays a part in giving your body good things. Even the water is distilled, unlike the Germ-X. We don't use. We just don't need it but if you do this is the way to go!

Awesome Hand Sanitizer

In reality you're better of just waiting until you get home to wash your hands. You need those germs to create resistance. Unless you have something really oily or globby that prevents you from touching things, then just don't wash your hands. I do not at all think that frequently washing your hands prevents general illnesses. I've been testing this since 2020 and I do not see any truth in that.

What's In Soap Goes To Your Blood

Remember your skin absorbs what you put on it through your pores. Even more-so when you relax those pore with warm water and they open up wider. What goes inside takes a ride in your blood stream. So all these really micro-sized chemicals are being absorbed and not only once, but over and over the more you wash these dishes or your hands.

Just When you Fix One Thing....

Some people get smart and use rubber gloves to wash those dishes at work...but the rubber is also full toxic chemicals like PFAS (forever chemicals) and hormone disruptors. When the rubber hits hot water all those go into your hands! Uhg! It's like you just can't win! It's really hard not to think someone is conspiring against you. And really they are. Big companies want your money more than anything. Don't make a big deal over it, just accept it and don't buy their crap. It doesn't have to be a big deal. It just pushes you to start taking care of yourself and not rely on them so much, which is great for all of us.

Happy Clean Soaps that Works Better!

• Anything at the Wellnest Shop in Rogers and they have awesome deals because they are a refinery too. Learn more about them below this post.

Puracy is one we've used and they have cleaner versions of all the soaps you'll ever need. We used them for a while but now we've swapped mostly out with ones from the Wellnest Shop.

Watch The Labels

I saw a body soap from Walmart the other day that said it had something good in it like i think it was castor oil or something, but then there was a little note saying it dissipates somehow before you use it. It was weird. I'll try to get a picture of it next time. Just read the labels especially at big box store. I would just avoid those completely and go to the Wellnest Shop.
