A couple years ago we swapped out microwave for a toasted oven. No only is it safer, but it just makes your food taste so much better! We are never going back.
Your Food Taste Fresh Again!
When you ditch your microwave and get a toaster oven I couldn't believe no one had told me how much better my food would taste. I would have ditched it years ago if I'd know that you can reheat food and it taste like it just came out of the oven ...because ...it did! haha! It's that simple.The microwave sounds convenient, but you lose the quality of your food by about half.
The Dangers of Microwaves
This is one of those things where you can find people going either way on the issue, but my uncle ditched his microwave a while back and really it just makes sense. I'm not going to get into it too much. I do strongly think they are very bad for us aside form just zapping all the nutrients from your food. Here's two videos to get you thinking.

Is it a hard switch?
Not at all. It takes about 3 minutes to warm anything up and if you compare that to a microwave most things take about that long. Even if you usually would microwave for 1 minute, two more minutes is nothing. It just gives you more time to cook and it goes by really fast. Frozen items taste better too. We make homemade biscuits and freeze them. For those it's still 3 minutes, you just hit the "frozen" button. It may add like 30 secs, but when you take it out it tastes very similar to fresh biscuits and certainly better than a microwave.
Don't take your microwave to a pawn shop.
Yeahhh so I was fed up with our microwave sitting there doing nothing for two years so Emily and I agreed we could see what the pawn shop would give us. It was a very nice microwave, hardly used and the pawn shop gave me $10. Whats worse is I took the deal lol! Just wanted it out of the house. I hate when things take up room but never get used. Haha! So don't try that.
Our Toaster Oven
We bought this Breville BOV800XL and couldn't be happier. Its been working great for about two years so and counting.
