Here's the scoop.

* I original posted Basil was to the oil to use but I got them mixed up. It really is Oregano oil. Haha! My bad!

We make this anytime we need to coat a sore throat and it feels so much better! The basil oil is what really does the trick. Most of us know that warm salt water is great for a sore throat but the basil completely numbs it the natural way. Just go try it right now and you'll be so glad you have it in your arsenal for next time you need it.

The Recipe
  • Warm up hot, fluoride-free filtered water on the stove.
  • Pour just enough to gargle with.
  • Add a bit of cold water to get to the right temp.
  • Add two drops of Oregano essential oil.
  • Add 1 teaspoon of salt
  • Mix and gargle until you feel it numbing the back of your throat.
Tip

Don't Let it touch your lips or they will be numb for quite some time. Or try it anyway cause its kinda fun. Haha!

What Oil We Love

In the picture you see Young Living but thats just because we haven't run out of basil from them. We highly recommend Joyful Mountain Oils, a local company around here. Check out our page on them below!
