Here's the scoop.

the first time we had these we were very surprised how good they were! Every time we ask people if they want one, they're face lights up a little and they always talk about how good they are. We take them everywhere and they're easy enough for the kids to grab out of the fridge.

The best part is they are packed with the Just Ingredients protein powder which utterly rocks and sweetened with raw, local honey.

Ingredients

All of this is organic and does not use any harmful products like aluminum or plastic. I'll add links below to the brands we found to be healthiest / best priced.

  • 3/4 c. creamy peanut butter
  • 1/3 c. honey
  • 2T. coconut oil
  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup vanilla protein powder
  • 3 T. flaxseed meal
  • 1/4 t.  cinnamon
  • 1/4 t. Kosher Salt
  • 1/3 c. Chocolate Chips
Directions
  • Line 8x8 or 9x9 baking pan with non-bleached parchment paper, leaving overhang on 2 sides.
  • Place peanut butter, honey & coconut oil in a medium heat proof bowl.
  • Set the bowl over a saucepan of water and bring the water to simmer over medium-high heat. (Don't boil or let the water touch the bowl.)
  • Stir until smooth and remove from heat.
  • Add oats, protein powder, cinnamon, salt & flaxseed
  • Stir to combine
  • Stir in chocolate chips
  • Press evenly into pan & refrigerate 1hr
  • Lift the bars using the paper & cut into size.

Recommendations

Obviously you can use what you want, but these are the ones we've vetting reall good. Most of it we get from the Azure truck and Akins. When it comes to cutting it's totally worth getting a rocking pizza cutter. They're about $5, so nothing too crazy.
