Natural Muse in Bentonville is a Northwest Arkansas gem! Why? Because they are one of the very few places that do not cook in seed oils. That means you'll be saving yourself from increased inflammation and you'll be full without feeling drowsy or tired. All their fried food is cooked in peanut oil, which is similar to avocado oil or beef tallow in that it's not inflammatory like the seed oils everywhere else. It's wonderful and truly a rare find!

The Benefits of Eating at Muse

Like I said you'll feel better when you're done because they don't cook in seed oils. Most of their sauces don't have High Fructose Corn Syrup. He said the BBQ and the Muse Sauce does (anything with BBQ sauce) but all the others do not have it - including the ketchup. That's wonderful! The meat is all ways fresh and never frozen. It has no antibiotics. They use an American cheese but they put a lot of effort in seeking out the kind that isn't a bunch of chemicals. This one is actually milk-based and leaves the nutrients in tact. (The best a pasteurized product can.) If that still isn't your jam, it additional so just don't ask for it. Their fries are always freshly cut and cooked in that good ol' peanut oil and as a result they taste wonderful. Fresh food just beats anything that isn't.

Yes, They Have a Drive Thru?

Yeah baby, they have a drive-through and a very simple menu which makes it very easy to order.

The Muse Menu

The menu pretty much comprises of single or double patty burgers, chicken sandwiches, salads or nuggets, along with milkshakes and flavored lemonades. The chicken comes grilled or fried, both are great, but what's cool is that because it's fried in peanut oil I had to remind myself that fried isn't necessarily bad for you here. I think thats so cool! Good ingredients just make good food.

The family sized fries are certainly enough for 4 people, more like 7! So just get a regular and share it with someone, don't forget they come cajun style too.

One Thing I Can't Recommend

Muse offers a Veggie Burger which for all intensive purposes may taste great is seemly a healthy choice for certain folks, but the meat comes from a product called "Beyond Beef." We have issues with that company because they've been known to use Senomyx which contains the HEK 293 stem cell and tricks your senses into thinking it taste better than it does. Meat just needs to be meat or it loses the immense nutritional value God gave it. Beyond Beef is very much linked to the World Economic Forum's 2030 agenda that aims to annihilate or modify all our consumption of meat. Feel free to do a deep dive into that if you want - or don't. I don't condone Muse for this, but this blog is all about staying healthy and part of this is awareness of everything that's in our food. I would just say this is one thing we feel there is good reason to stay away from.

Their Staff Was Great

The manager's name is Manuel and he was great to talk to, because he was really happy working for a place that puts the health of its customers at such a high regard. He informed me that they go to great lengths to have better quality ingredients. It was exciting to see someone who was so happy about their food and not just him, but the employees there were too. They loved the idea of this blog and were happy to be apart of it. They talk about how they feel better when they eat there than at other fast food joints. It was cool to see that they were all behind their product, unlike so many other owners of the other restaurant chains around here.

A Great Chick-fil-a Replacement!

Muse is a fantastic replacement for those of you who have realized that Chick-fil-a is no bueno. We've switched to Muse and found that the prices are really quite comparable. Perhaps a tad more, but it just depends on what you order. Also because Muse has better meat, I fill up on it more on it that downing two chicken sandwiches. See what you think, but either way it's hands-down worth it when you compare ingredients.

Three Locations & Specials

We visited the location on Walton next to Burger Kings and near the Post Office. Their manager informed us that the location on 14th Street is right off the interstate, over by the community college and they serve all beef hot dogs. I know some people love their hot dogs but also know there usually very little beef in them, so this is great way to get your fix on some actually good hot dogs. A new location in Centeron should be done in 4-5 weeks (so about September 2024) and they are going to offer breakfast options! I'm stoked to learn more about that!

In Summary

There's a lot to be stoked about at Muse and I think it's easy to undervalue this place until you realize what's in your other favorite fast food chains. In my opinion and based on my research, it is hands down the best drive-thru in Bentonville simply because they don't cook in seed oils. Put differently it's the only one we go to. After rediscovering Muse we are just so absolutely, grateful that they exist and that they try so hard to be a light in the dark world of fast food. Next time you want a burger, salad or chicken sandwich you gotta check out Natural Muse. This is one of the very few places that use anti-inflammatory ingredients around here, so let's support them.
